You just never know what is going to happen. Life is a series of surprises. I just learned a very bright, energetic, young woman that I work with has a brain tumor. She is in her first academic appointment, has recently had her first child, had a book published this year and now she has a brain tumor.
I hope I would respond with the grace and strength she and her family have exhibited. They are inspiring, especially under such uncertainty and adversity. My thoughts and prayers are with you Alison.
